S-10 to V8 Conversion Advice. Just thought I would write some info I have learned over the last 2 years of owning a v8 s-10. First off, I did not do the origional conversion on my truck, but I did swap engines and made some upgrades. The most important upgrade was the fuel pump.

The S-10 gas tank is mounted to the frame behind the cab, perfect for a filler neck to come up through the wood in the bed. This eliminates the gas tank in the cab problem. To do the swap it requires some good old American ingenuity, but not tons of car knowledge.
