I have walnut handguards on both my M1A's. One I got from Fulton and one came with the gun, it is a Springfield handguard and very nice. The one I got from Fulton is thinner and I had to take a little wood off the back by the bolt or the bolt closing would have split the wood. I like the wood handguards a lot, gives the M1A a diffrent look.
